Health and Safety
Engen is committed to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) excellence in all that we do. We continue to ensure that risks associated with HSEQ are adequately eliminated and controlled to as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP) levels. Our corporate HSEQ division is the custodian of health, safety, environment and quality in the company.
Each of the line divisions has an HSEQ department overseeing the operational issues of their respective businesses. Our HSEQ training programme has delivered highly competent Technical Professionals who have been certified by external bodies.
Across our operating facilities we have identified safety critical positions and have selected and trained employees in such position through rigorous processes.
Funding and Sponsorships
Engen is firmly committed to investing in sport at grass roots level, in a manner that not only fuels the next generation of South Africa’s sporting heroes but also leaves an indelible mark on all who participate in Engen sponsored properties.
It is a development mindset that touches two of South Africa’s most popular sporting codes, soccer and rugby. The Engen Knock Out Challenge has been going strong since 2003 and has grown into arguably South Africa’s premier youth football tournament, allowing budding talents to be scouted by professional teams.
As the official development partner of ‘Get into Rugby’, Engen is excited to see more youngsters take up one of South Africa’s much-loved sports.
